High Dam
the world-famous High Dam was an engineering miracle when it was built in the1960s.
Today it provides irrigation and electricity for the whole of Egypt and, together
with the old Aswan Dam, 6 km downriver, and the
Temple of Philae
, it was also dismantled and reassembled (on Agilika lsland about 500m.

The temple shared by the two Gods sobek and
Haroeris
Kom Ombo and Edfu are both easily accessible from Aswan, by day cruise, felucca,
bus or taxi. Arriving by boat at the Temple of Haroeris and Sobek.

Day 03:
Edfu/Esna/Luxor
Breakfast. Visit the temple of Horus in Edfu. Sail to Esna. Cross the lock.
Sail to Luxor and overnight on board

Day 04:
Luxor
Disembarkation after breakfast. Cross to the West Bank. Visit
Necropolis of Thebes, Valley of the kings,
the temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the colossi of Memnon

sacred barque of the god from the temple of Karnak to the temple of Luxor,
called Ipet-resit, or 'Private Chambers to the South (of Amun)'.
The temple of Luxor, some 260 m (850 ft) long today, was built by Amenophis III
on the foundations of a previous religious structure, dating from the time of
Queen Hatshepsut
